Golf Course Overview
Bolton Open Golf Club at Longsight Park, Bolton, Lancashire, opened in 1999 as an 18-hole parkland course of 5,715 yards (par 68), later reduced to 9 holes as a budget pay-and-play venue close to the M61. It closed in 2014 after years of declining maintenance and falling player numbers left the course in poor condition, and the clubhouse was subsequently damaged by fire. The site has since been left largely as rough open ground used informally for walking and dog-walking on the edge of the urban area.
Closed 2014.
