Golf Course Overview
Bohunt Manor Golf Club was formed in 1922 as a separate members' club affiliated to Liphook Golf Club, originally limited to 50 male members and intended for local residents and tradespeople; lady members were admitted from 1929. The club takes its name from the nearby Bohunt Manor estate. Bohunt members play over the Liphook Golf Club course, a celebrated heathland layout opened in 1923 and recognised by the R&A as an exemplary inland heathland course and an early example of strategic golf design. The course measures around 6,200 yards to a par of 70 over 18 holes, with classic heathland turf, heather, gorse and pine trees throughout.
Bohunt Manor members have full use of the Liphook course and clubhouse facilities, including the Spike Bar and dining room on match days and Sunday lunches. Membership remains restricted to those living within six miles of the club, and members may not belong to any other golf club. The course is reached via the Wheatsheaf Enclosure on the A3 just south of Liphook, close to the Hampshire/West Sussex border.
