Golf Course Overview
Bognor Regis Golf Club dates from 1892 and its present layout was largely shaped by the renowned Scottish architect James Braid, with later input from Fred G. Hawtree. The parkland course measures around 6,121 yards to a par of 70, running across gently undulating coastal land at Felpham with the River Rife meandering through the front nine. Characteristic Braid design features appear throughout, including four varied par threes, two long par fives, demanding tee shots calling for carry, and an absence of bunkers directly fronting the greens, with the closing three holes designed to produce a testing finish.
The club is a private members' operation with a friendly clubhouse, pro shop, swing studio and halfway hut, and visitors and societies are welcomed by prior arrangement. Tee times for visitors are released weekly for the week ahead. The course sits just off the A259 in Felpham on the eastern edge of Bognor Regis, within easy reach of the A27 for access from Chichester, Portsmouth and the wider South Coast.
