Golf Course Overview

Boars Head Golf Centre is a friendly pay-and-play venue tucked into the East Sussex countryside near Crowborough, just off the B2188 between Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells and within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The nine-hole course plays to a par of 35 over around 2,778 yards from the white tees, with gently undulating fairways, mature trees, streams and parkland features that combine to make a manageable but interesting test for golfers of all standards. Strategic small greens, a few short par-4s and well-positioned hazards reward accuracy over power, making it a particularly good venue for beginners, juniors and those working on their short game.

The wider centre is built around an excellent practice facility, with a floodlit all-weather driving range plus seven outside grass bays, a short-game area, putting green, pro shop and clubhouse with bar and restaurant. Two PGA professionals offer tuition seven days a week, and there are dedicated junior and rainbow junior memberships designed to nurture young players. The centre is easily accessible from Crowborough, Royal Tunbridge Wells and Heathfield, and is well placed to combine with rounds at Crowborough Beacon, Royal Ashdown Forest and Dewlands Manor.
