Golf Course Overview
Billingbear Park Golf Course is a friendly pay-and-play parkland venue in Berkshire, with the original 9-hole "Old Course" laid out by Martin Hawtree and Mike Cox and opened in 1989, joined by a 9-hole par-3 "New Course" added in 1996. The Old Course plays to a par of 69 over 18 tees and offers an enjoyable round in mature parkland, while the par-3 course (par 27, around 1,268 yards) is ideal for short-game practice, beginners and quick rounds.
The site is open year-round to visitors with no need for a handicap certificate, and offers a clubhouse with bar, an outdoor seating area, a pro shop, trolley and electric cart hire, and EV charging points. Billingbear Park sits on The Straight Mile near Wokingham, just over the M4 motorway bridge and around two miles from the town centre, with Wokingham railway station only a short drive away — making it a convenient venue for casual golf, society days and shuffleboard events.
