Golf Course Overview

Bidston Golf Club was founded in 1913 and has been a feature of Wirral golf for well over a century. The 18-hole parkland course plays to a par of 70 over approximately 6,153 yards from the white tees, with a layout comprising two par 5s, twelve par 4s and four par 3s. The course is renowned for the pace and trueness of its greens and for well-defined, tree-lined fairways that reward accurate driving. The relatively flat terrain and good drainage mean the course holds up well through the winter months.

Facilities include a welcoming clubhouse with bar and catering, a fully stocked pro shop, practice putting green and changing rooms. The club hosts over 130 member competitions each year and was a 2025 finalist in the England Golf Awards for both Sustainability Project of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. Visitors and societies are welcomed. Access is very straightforward, with the course sitting just off junction 2 of the M53 at Bidston Link Road and only about ten minutes' drive from Liverpool city centre via the Kingsway Tunnel.
