 Golf Course Overview

Founded in 1889, Beverley and East Riding Golf Club is widely regarded as Yorkshire's oldest inland golf club. The 18-hole, par 69 heathland course stretches across the ancient common land of Beverley Westwood, sharing its undulating pasture with grazing cattle, sheep and horses. Traditional-style holes offer sweeping views of Beverley Minster and the surrounding countryside, with the historic Black Mill and Anti-Mill serving as unmistakable landmarks. The natural landscape, free-roaming livestock and open common give the course a distinctive character that sets it apart from conventional parkland layouts.

The clubhouse is built around the Anti-Mill and offers a bar and catering facilities open to members and the public. PGA-qualified professionals deliver coaching for all abilities and the club participates in the East Yorkshire Golf Passport scheme. Beverley and East Riding is also the administrative home of the East Riding Union of Golf Clubs and regularly hosts county-level events. The course lies just off the A1079 on the western edge of the historic market town of Beverley, about eight miles north of Hull.
