Golf Course Overview

Betchworth Park Golf Club was established in 1911 on land that was once part of the grounds of Betchworth Castle, with the remains of the medieval castle still visible adjacent to the course near the 8th green. The course was designed by Harry S. Colt, the distinguished architect responsible for Sunningdale, Wentworth, Tandridge and Effingham. This challenging parkland course plays to a par of 69 over 6,314 yards, sitting within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with memorable views across to Box Hill and the Mole Valley towards Reigate. The sloping greens and a fine avenue of lime trees dividing the 9th and 11th holes are distinctive features.

Facilities include a clubhouse with dining room and balcony seating 100, a pro shop, an academy for newer players, and function rooms suitable for weddings and parties. The club has approximately 770 members, with thriving women's and junior sections, and will host the England Golf Women's County Finals in July 2026. Located on Reigate Road between Dorking and Reigate, the club is easily accessed from the A25.
