Golf Course Overview
Bentley Golf Club was established in 1972 at Pilgrims Hatch on the outskirts of Brentwood. The 18-hole parkland course was laid out by Alex Swan, founder of Swan Golf Designs, and measures around 6,678 yards to a par of 72, with a slope rating of 133 from the white tees. Fairways meander across gently undulating terrain interspersed with small ponds, ditches and mature woodland, and the course has featured among Top 100's list of Essex's leading layouts.
The club has been owned by its members since 2004, with profits reinvested into course drainage, pathways and clubhouse facilities. Bentley welcomes visiting golfers, societies and corporate days, and offers a pro shop, bar and dining alongside practice amenities. Located on Ongar Road just north of Brentwood, the course is easily accessed from the A12 and M25, placing it within a short drive of east London.
