Golf Course Overview

Bentham Golf Course was established in 1922 and is a family-run 18-hole parkland layout situated at the foot of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, near the traditional Cumbria-Yorkshire boundary. Measuring approximately 6,071 yards to a par of 71, the course is often described as "the Augusta of the Dales" thanks to its tree-lined fairways, seven ponds and lush playing surfaces. The signature par-3 7th, where an elevated tee looks down to a green guarded by water, is regarded as one of the most photogenic holes in the region, while Ingleborough and the surrounding fells provide a dramatic backdrop.

Facilities include an 8-bay driving range, indoor golf simulator, practice chipping area, PGA professional, well-stocked pro shop, and the 1922 Bar and Kitchen serving food and drink throughout the week. On-site glamping pods and self-catering lodges through Wenningdale Escapes make it a genuine golf and stay destination, and the venue hosts weddings, society days and meetings. Bentham sits on Robin Lane just off the B6480, around half a mile above the market town of High Bentham and a short drive from junction 34 of the M6.
