Golf Course Overview
Founded in 1984, Benbecula Golf Club is a 9-hole course set on the flat grasslands of the middle island of the Uists. Although there are only nine greens, the course operates 18 tees so that no two passes of the layout play the same, providing variety over a full round. The naturally flat terrain is well maintained by the members, and features some challenging holes demanding careful club selection along with natural hazards such as rabbit scrapes.
The club offers a warm welcome to visiting golfers looking for a game in unusual surroundings, and is situated directly beside Benbecula Airport, only minutes from Balivanich, the administrative centre for the Uists. Access is via daily Loganair flights from Glasgow, Stornoway and Inverness, or by Caledonian MacBrayne car ferry to North or South Uist.
