Golf Course Overview
Bellingham Golf Club was founded in 1893 and extended from nine to 18 holes in 1996, with the new nine designed by then-Secretary Ian Wilson. The parkland layout extends to approximately 6,093 yards with a par of 70 and is set in the picturesque North Tyne valley between Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish border. The course uses the rolling, hilly terrain and natural features to full effect, producing a variety of holes where blind tee shots, forced carries and elevation changes are frequent — the testing par-four 18th is regarded as the signature hole. Stunning views extend up the valley toward Kielder Water and the Border Forest Park.
The club has a welcoming clubhouse with bar and catering (subject to day-of-week availability), pro shop and buggy hire, and is widely recognised as one of Northumberland's friendliest. Bellingham hosted the Northumberland Union of Golf Clubs 72-hole Championship in 2012 and has been a regular North East North West Region PGA Pro-Am venue since 2014. The course is found at Boggle Hole on the edge of Bellingham village on the B6320, around 16 miles north of Hexham.
