Golf Course Overview
Beeston Fields Golf Club opened in 1923 on land with a southerly aspect that retains the feel of a traditional English country estate. The course was laid out by Tom Williamson, the celebrated Notts and Bulwell Forest professional who designed many courses across the Midlands. Measuring around 6,430 yards to a par of 71, this parkland layout is defined by sculpted tree-lined fairways and undulating greens, and the opening match in 1923 featured Open champion Arthur Havers. Later visitors who have played here include Henry Cotton, Roberto de Vicenzo and Lee Westwood.
The club offers an informal, relaxed clubhouse atmosphere with an oak-panelled dining room and a sun lounge overlooking the course. Society packages are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and a large outdoor marquee and private dining rooms make the venue popular for weddings and functions. Beeston Fields sits between Beeston and Wollaton and is easily reached via M1 Junction 25 and the A52.
