Golf Course Overview

Founded in 1894, Bedale Golf Club presents an 18-hole parkland layout of approximately 6,580 yards playing to a par of 72. The course winds through 18th-century parkland that was once a deer park, featuring wide tree-lined fairways, mature woodland and long-range views across the Wensleydale hills. Water comes into play on seven of the holes and the prevailing westerly breeze adds to the challenge, with a course rating of 72.3 and slope of 135 providing a proper test for lower handicappers while remaining enjoyable for all abilities.

The refurbished clubhouse houses the Bedale Bar & Grill restaurant, upgraded locker rooms, a pro shop and a sun-trap verandah overlooking the course. Visitors are welcome every day, and the club can accommodate societies, corporate days, weddings and functions. PGA professional tuition and group lessons are available. The club hosted a significant Yorkshire county event in 2009 and sits on the edge of Bedale town, just two miles from Junction 51 of the A1(M), giving a five-minute drive from the motorway.
