Golf Course Overview

Baxenden & District Golf Club is a friendly and welcoming members’ club, founded in 1913 and situated on rolling hillside terrain on the Hyndburn-Rossendale boundary above Accrington. Our traditional 9-hole course is played as 18 holes from different tee positions, providing a varied and enjoyable round of golf. At 5,734 yards and par 70 from the competition tees, the course offers a genuine test for golfers of all abilities, with undulating fairways, challenging approaches and a variety of holes requiring accuracy and good course management.

The club has a strong community atmosphere and, throughout the year, hosts a number of Open competitions, giving visiting golfers the opportunity to experience the course and enjoy the friendly welcome for which Baxenden is known. Our modern clubhouse provides a comfortable place to relax before or after your round, with a bar and pool table available for golfers to enjoy.

The elevated position of the course also provides attractive views across the surrounding Lancashire countryside towards Pendle and the Pennine Hills, adding to the character of the golfing experience.

Visitors are always very welcome at Baxenden, whether competing in one of our Opens or visiting to enjoy a round of golf. If you have played Baxenden, we would really value your feedback. Please take a moment to leave us a review on Golf Empire and let other golfers know about your experience.
