Golf Course Overview
Batchworth Park Golf Club opened in 1996 and was designed by the acclaimed architect Dave Thomas on 210 acres of rolling Hertfordshire parkland near Rickmansworth. The championship course plays to a par 72 over 6,723 yards from the back tees, with four tee positions on every hole to suit all standards. Six picturesque lakes come into play, and the generally open layout is defined by large strategic bunkers and challenging rough. The signature 8th is a 336-yard par 4 flanked by a lake down the right, demanding an accurate drive before a second shot to a two-tier green protected by bunkers.
High-specification irrigation and drainage keep the course playable year-round. Facilities include a modern clubhouse with informal dining, oak-panelled locker rooms, an 8-bay covered driving range, a chipping green with practice bunker, a putting green and buggy hire. The club welcomes society days and corporate golf bookings alongside private membership. Located just two miles from the M25 at junction 17/18, the club is easily reached from London and the wider Home Counties.
