Golf Course Overview
Barrow Hills Golf Club was established in 1970 within the secure confines of the former Longcross test track in Chertsey, Surrey, and remains a private club for members and their guests. The 18-hole, par-56 short course is laid out across nine greens with 18 separate tee blocks, measuring around 3,090 yards in total and split between a 1,334-yard front nine and a 1,756-yard back nine. Although it is a par-3 layout in essence, narrow fairways, towering trees and strategically placed bunkers provide a genuine test, with several mid-length holes that play far longer than the card suggests. The 9th, where a tall fir tree guards an elevated green, is a particular standout.
Surrounded by mature woodland, the course offers superb views of the local countryside and is often subject to cross winds on the back nine. Practice facilities and a clubhouse with catering are available to members. Visiting play is generally restricted to members' guests only. Barrow Hills sits adjacent to Wentworth on the western side of the M25, easily reached from junction 11 of the M25 and A30.
