Golf Course Overview
Ballymena Golf Club was founded in 1903 and is set on the outskirts of the award-winning village of Broughshane, around two miles from Ballymena town. The 18-hole heathland course measures roughly 5,800 yards with a par of 68 and is dominated by views of Slemish Mountain, the peak associated with St Patrick. Although relatively short by modern standards, scoring is tightened by well-bunkered greens and a series of testing par threes, and the well-drained terrain keeps the course playable in most weather.
Facilities include a clubhouse with restaurant and bar, a fully stocked pro shop, a snooker hall and changing rooms with showers. Visitors and societies are welcome, and the club hosts a busy schedule of member competitions throughout the year. Ballymena sits just off the A42 Raceview Road, easily reached from the M2 motorway and around 28 miles from Belfast.
