Golf Course Overview
The golf course at Ballachulish is now operated as the Woodlands Golf Course (also known locally as Dragon's Tooth) at the Woodlands Glencoe Estate, a 9-hole parkland layout opened in 2002 and designed by Robin Hiseman. Set on undulating estate land at the foot of Sgorr Dhearg and Sgorr Domhnuill, with the distinctive peak of the Dragon's Tooth between them, the course measures roughly 5,050 yards over 18 tees to a par of 67. Mature trees, a burn and a stretch of road combine with views over Loch Linnhe to produce a memorable Highland experience, and the course has been ranked among the world's leading 9-hole layouts by Bunkered and Golf magazines.
Facilities include a clubhouse with bar, lounge, food truck terrace, club hire, electric buggies and a practice putting area, plus an honesty bar in the lounge. Beyond golf, the wider Woodlands Estate offers e-bikes, Segway tours, archery and luxury lodge accommodation. The course is located beside the Ballachulish Bridge on the A82, around 15 miles south of Fort William.
