Golf Course Overview
Founded in 1972 on the former McAlpine family estate, Badgemore Park is an 18-hole parkland course designed by architect Robert Sandow across 120 acres of mature woodland and landscaped grounds on the edge of Henley-on-Thames. Measuring around 6,129 yards to a par of 69, the layout is cleverly routed to test all standards of golfer, with plentiful rough, a demanding dog-leg at the 16th, and water hazards guarding the 17th. A full modern irrigation system keeps the fairways and putting surfaces in good shape throughout the year.
The club is family-owned and operates as a broader leisure destination alongside the golf, with a stylish clubhouse in a converted 18th-century coach house offering bar and restaurant service, eight B&B bedrooms, a boutique gym and fitness hub called FOCUS, and facilities for weddings and corporate events. Visitors, societies and corporate groups are warmly welcomed, and the club hosts a full calendar of members' opens including mixed, seniors, ladies and junior events. The location in an area of outstanding natural beauty is easily reached from the M4 and M40 motorways.
