Golf Course Overview

Avington Park Golf Course is a nine-hole parkland layout opened in 1995 and designed by Robert Stent, set in the Itchen valley countryside just outside Winchester. The course measures around 3,816 yards for a full 18-hole round with a par of 60, and a mix of short par-3s and testing par-4s makes it popular with beginners, juniors and seniors while still providing interest for lower handicappers. The well-drained greens and fairways are known locally for their condition throughout the year.

Facilities include a putting green, short-game chipping area, pro shop, club hire, PGA tuition, clubhouse bar and catering. Tee times can be booked online up to three days in advance for visitors, and members enjoy longer booking windows. The club sits on the Avington estate off the B3047 between Winchester and Alresford, with holiday cottages nearby for those wanting to stay and play.
