Golf Course Overview
Aughnacloy Golf Club, founded in 1994, is a nine-hole parkland course laid out halfway between Aughnacloy and Ballygawley in County Tyrone. Played as 18 holes from 18 different tees, the course measures around 5,489 yards to a par of 70 and features a steep hill, a river running through the property, and a mature setting that has matured rapidly to provide a genuine test of golf. The club is one of Ulster's more recent additions but plays in a part of the country with deep golfing roots — Aughnacloy itself was a founder member of the original Golfing Union of Ireland in 1891 (a separate, earlier club).
Facilities include a six-bay driving range open seven days a week, a clubhouse bar open every evening and weekend, and a restaurant serving food from Friday through Sunday. Buggies and trolleys are available for hire and societies are welcomed every day except Saturday. The club is affiliated with Golf Ireland and competes regularly in interclub competitions.
