Golf Course Overview

Auchterarder Golf Club was founded in 1892, with Ben Sayers designing the original 9-hole layout in 1913 before the course was extended to 18 holes. The parkland course measures around 5,800 yards to a par of 69, with an easy-walking feel through heavily wooded surroundings and commanding views across to the Ochil Hills and Gleneagles. The layout is distinctive for its set of six par-3s, the longest being the 16th at 235 yards – a serious hole where a par is well earned. The course runs alongside the world-famous PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles, venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup.

The club offers a spacious clubhouse with bar and catering, well-appointed men's and ladies' locker rooms with showers, and a fully stocked professional shop carrying leading clubs and apparel. Visitors and societies are welcomed throughout the year, and the club is a popular choice for corporate and society golf days. Auchterarder hosts a regular open competition and fixtures in the Perth & Kinross County Golf Union calendar. The course sits on Orchil Road on the western edge of Auchterarder town, a short drive from the A9 and easily reached from Perth, Stirling and Gleneagles.
