Golf Course Overview

Auchmill Golf Club is a municipal parkland course in the Northfield/Bucksburn area of Aberdeen with a surprisingly distinguished design pedigree. Originally laid out as a nine-hole course in the early 1970s and later extended to a full 18, the layout was devised by the trio of Brian Huggett, Neil Coles and Roger Dyer — combining the expertise of a leading course architect with two former Ryder Cup players. The course plays to just under 6,000 yards from the whites with a par of 69, and makes excellent use of its undulating topography to create four par 5s and a series of cleverly named holes such as "The Frog" and "The Quarry". Wooded parkland stretches, tree-lined fairways and several testing par 3s mean golfers of all levels face genuine variety.

The clubhouse offers a bar and lounge with catering suited to visiting parties, and changing facilities for both ladies and gents. Although there is no dedicated pro shop, golfing essentials are available at reception. The course is a popular and accessible option for casual and regular golfers thanks to its proximity to Aberdeen Airport and the Parkway ring road, and it affords fine views across the city and out towards the airport. Green fees are notably affordable, making it a well-used venue for beginners, visitors and members alike.
