Golf Course Overview
Auchenharvie Golf Course is a 9-hole municipal layout situated near the leisure centre between the towns of Stevenston and Saltcoats in North Ayrshire. Opened in 1981, the relatively flat parkland course can be played as 18 with two sets of tees, totalling around 5,200 yards to a par of 66 (or 2,530 yards par 33 over 9). Despite its modest length the course offers a fair challenge, with two holes featuring water hazards, several long par 3s and tight, narrow greens. The signature hole is the dogleg-left par-4 third, where water lurks down the left of the fairway, while the 220-yard par-3 ninth often plays into the prevailing wind.
The facility is operated by KA Leisure on behalf of North Ayrshire Council, with a clubhouse offering catering, an 18-bay covered driving range, a putting green and a professional shop. Auchenharvie is well suited to beginners and society days, with discounted rates for groups of 12 or more. The course is reached via Moorpark Road West off the main road between Stevenston and Saltcoats, close to Saltcoats train station.
