Golf Course Overview
Aston Wood Golf Club opened in 1994 with an 18-hole championship layout designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark to USPGA standards. The par-71 course measures around 6,559 yards and stretches across gently rolling meadowland dotted with copses of mature deciduous trees. Several lakes, ponds and a meandering brook create water hazards across the routing, while a mix of challenging par 5s, varied par 4s and enjoyable par 3s provides a test for players of all levels. The course was later enhanced by Jonathan Gaunt, Steve Marnoch and Bruce Weller.
Facilities include a 14-bay floodlit driving range with heated bays, a 40-metre pitching and bunker practice area, putting green, indoor teaching space, fitting centre and well-stocked pro shop. The spacious clubhouse offers food, drinks and function rooms used for weddings and corporate events. Aston Wood regularly hosts MasterCard Tour events, Staffordshire County fixtures and charity golf days. The club sits on Blake Street at Little Aston, Sutton Coldfield, with easy motorway access via the M6, M42 and M6 Toll.
