Golf Course Overview

The Ashbury Golf Resort sits on the northern fringe of Dartmoor National Park and is among the largest golf complexes in the United Kingdom, with 103 holes spread across roughly 500 acres of Devon countryside. The resort offers four full 18-hole courses together with an 18-hole par-3 layout (Willows) and a short Academy course. Kigbeare, the flagship, stretches to 6,528 yards and plays to a par of 72, with tree-lined fairways, rolling terrain and a notable elevated par-3 third. The Pines reaches just over 6,400 yards with a challenging tree-lined back nine, while the Beeches is the most scenic layout at 5,671 yards, featuring a dramatic triple-tiered third hole that drops nearly 200 feet to the green. Oakwood is the shortest at around 5,500 yards and is considered the thinking golfer's course, defended by ten ponds and numerous bunkers.

On-site facilities include a large hotel complex, the Clubhouse Bar overlooking the 18th of Kigbeare, extensive leisure amenities, sports simulators and the biggest buggy fleet of any UK golf resort with more than 450 vehicles on tarmac paths. Golf holidays are run on a full-board basis, and the resort welcomes societies and visitors year-round. The site sits just off the A386 close to Okehampton, around 45 minutes by road from Exeter, making it an accessible base for exploring Dartmoor as well as playing golf.
