Golf Course Overview
Ardminnan Golf Club is a nine-hole parkland course on the Ards Peninsula, designed by Frank Ainsworth and opened to play in 1995. Spread over approximately 45 acres, the layout measures just over 3,000 yards for nine holes (around 6,050 yards over 18) and plays to a par of 70 with a standard scratch score of 69. A pair of gentle hills and a small river feeding two ponds shape the routing, with water in play on six of the holes and providing the course's chief defence.
The club has a fully licensed bar and restaurant in the clubhouse, and the venue is open to visitors all week without handicap requirements. Ardminnan sits in scenic countryside overlooking the Irish Sea adjacent to Silver Bay, roughly five minutes' drive from both Portaferry and Kircubbin on the road between Portaferry and Cloughey, making it a convenient stop while touring the Ards Peninsula.
