Archerfield Links sits within a 550-acre country estate on East Lothian's Golf Coast and offers two contrasting 18-hole championship layouts, the Fidra Links and the Dirleton Links, both designed by Scottish Tour professional DJ Russell and opened in the mid-2000s. The Fidra Links is a par-72 course stretching to roughly 6,942 yards from the back tees that begins in pine woodland before opening onto more traditional linksland across the back nine, while the Dirleton Links, also par-72 and around 6,133 yards from the whites, plays over coastal ground that has hosted golf for more than a century and is characterised by sweeping fairways, deep bunkers, gorse, ditches, burns and undulating dunes.
The club is a private members' organisation but limited visitor golf is available, particularly for guests staying in the estate's luxury on-site accommodation at Archerfield House. Practice facilities include three short-game areas, three putting greens, a dual-ended driving range and a covered tuition zone, with the Archerfield Performance Centre offering TrackMan-based coaching and custom club fitting for PING, Titleist and Callaway. The Fidra has hosted the Scottish Seniors Open and the Scottish Ladies Open, and the estate lies around 20 miles east of Edinburgh, close to Dirleton village and North Berwick.
