Golf Course Overview
Antrobus Golf Club was established in 1993 on 100 acres of former farmland, with the course designed by the late Mike Slater. It opened first as a 9-hole layout, expanded to 14 holes in 1994 and reached its full 18 holes in 1995, with the closing four holes built over the site of a former motor racing circuit. The parkland course plays to a par of 71 over around 6,220 yards from the back tees, with thousands of planted trees, natural water hazards and strategic lakes combining to make accuracy and course management more important than raw length.
Facilities include a 24-bay driving range, practice bunker and putting green, clubhouse with bar, catering and function rooms, pool room and pro shop run by resident PGA Professional Robin Carroll. Visitors, societies and corporate days are all welcomed, and the club's gents, ladies and seniors sections play active roles in the Manchester and District, North Cheshire Conference and North Cheshire League team competitions. The course lies between Northwich and Warrington with easy access from junction 10 of the M56.
