Golf Course Overview
Annanhill Golf Club opened in April 1954 on the outskirts of Kilmarnock and is managed by East Ayrshire Leisure Trust. Set within the grounds of the former Annanhill Estate, the 18-hole parkland layout stretches to around 6,200 yards with a par of 71 from the white tees. Mature, tree-lined fairways are relatively generous from the tee, but the compact greens make approach play demanding. The signature hole is the short par-three 13th, played across a valley to a raised green ringed by bunkers that is often compared to the famous Postage Stamp at nearby Royal Troon.
The clubhouse looks down the 18th fairway and offers a fully equipped bar with a kitchen serving breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks for members and visitors. Pay-and-play green fees and affordable season tickets are available, with bookings arranged through the starter's office. Saturday and midweek medals run throughout the season alongside knockout competitions, and the club is well placed for golf tourism, sitting roughly 15 minutes from Troon and within easy reach of the Open qualifying courses of Ayrshire.
