Golf Course Overview
Andover Golf Club was established in 1907 and celebrated its centenary in 2007, making it one of Hampshire's oldest golf clubs. The parkland course was laid out by five-time Open Champion J.H. Taylor and plays as a nine-hole, 18-tee layout measuring 6,096 yards (off 18 tees) to a par of 70, with a rating of 68.8 and slope of 114. The signature par-three ninth runs 225 yards downhill from an elevated tee to a green some 100 feet below, and the course's chalk base keeps fairways free-draining and playable even in the most adverse weather conditions.
The clubhouse houses well-appointed locker rooms, a full bar and all-day catering, and is available for private hire with a lounge area and fully equipped kitchen. Just Golf Ltd, a team of qualified PGA professionals, runs the well-stocked pro shop and offers tuition. The club has around 365 men, 46 ladies and 50 junior members and is half a mile south of Andover town centre on Winchester Road, easily reached from the A303 and M3.
