Golf Course Overview

Altrincham Golf Course is a long-established municipal venue that dates back to 1893 and became a public course in 1934 when the land was purchased by Altrincham Urban Council. The 18-hole parkland layout plays to approximately 6,385 yards with a par of 71, featuring the meandering Timperley Brook as a recurring water feature along with natural ponds, rolling contours and mature woodland. The course is widely regarded as one of the North West's best pay-and-play layouts, with particularly well-maintained greens.

Operated by Trafford Community Leisure Trust, the venue offers a clubhouse with bar and catering, a pro shop, a driving range and golf course season memberships at competitive rates. Regular competitions, a Wednesday summer roll-up and a welcoming atmosphere combine to give the course a community feel. Altrincham lies on Stockport Road in Timperley, close to junctions 6 and 7 of the M56 and easily reached from Manchester Airport.
