Golf Course Overview
Alsager Golf & Country Club was founded in the mid-1970s, with much of the original design work undertaken by Ron Rimmer, then professional and greenkeeper at nearby Crewe Golf Club. Originally laid out as a par-72, subsequent alterations have reduced it to the present par 70 of around 6,225 yards from the white tees over undulating parkland terrain. Tree-lined fairways, strategic ponds and elevated greens make accuracy essential. The par-3 13th is famed for its sweeping views, reputed to reach across six counties on a clear day.
The club has been owned by its members since 1989 and has invested heavily in modern drainage and irrigation to ensure near year-round play. Facilities include a fully appointed clubhouse, bar and catering, pro shop, changing rooms, buggy hire and a practice area. Visitors and societies are welcomed, and the club runs an extensive competition calendar including the long-standing Celebration Cup. The course sits on the Audley Road just off the A5011, with easy access from junction 16 of the M6.
