Golf Course Overview

Established in 1904, Alness Golf Club evolved from a 9-hole layout into its current 18-hole configuration in 1997. The parkland and moorland course measures just over 5,000 yards with a par of 67, making use of the natural undulating terrain with narrow fairways and small greens. The 14th is widely regarded as the most memorable hole, offering spectacular views over the Cromarty Firth, while the closing par-3 18th brings players back to the clubhouse.

The clubhouse includes a bar and restaurant, function hall, changing rooms and showers, and visitors are welcomed all year round. Trolley and club hire is available, and society bookings are encouraged in advance. Alness sits on Ardross Road on the shores of the Cromarty Firth, around 20 miles north of Inverness Airport, with easy access from the A9.
