Golf Course Overview

Alloa Golf Club, founded in 1891, lays out its 18 holes over 150 acres of rolling parkland on the historic Schawpark House estate beneath the Ochil Hills. James Braid redesigned the course in 1935, producing a championship-length parkland of around 6,265 yards with a par of 71. Mature tree-lined fairways frame the playing corridors and the closing stretch from the 15th to the 18th — featuring two long par-3s, a demanding par-4 and a par-5 with a ditch crossing in front of the 17th green — provides a memorable finish.

Facilities include a well-equipped clubhouse with a lounge bar, dining room, snooker room and locker rooms, plus practice areas. Visitors are welcomed and the club is part of the James Braid Association. Sauchie sits a short distance north of Alloa on the A908 towards Tillicoultry, easily reached via the A907.
