Golf Course Overview
Alderney Golf Club, located on Route des Carrieres, officially opened in 1970 on a site selected in 1967, continuing a golfing tradition on the island that began with the Army Garrison's course at Fort Albert and Fort Tourgis between 1900 and 1932. The scenic 9-hole coastal course plays to around 4,977 yards when playing 18 holes from different tees, with two tee positions on each hole to vary the layout. Natural hazards, sea breezes and the undulating terrain combine to test players, while Victorian fortresses and panoramic views of the English Channel and the island's sandy beaches provide a memorable backdrop.
Visitors are welcomed throughout the year and the club will assist with tailored packages of golf and catering, as well as help with local accommodation. The club hosts the Bellerive Alderney Open and a range of summer competitions. Alderney is reached from Southampton or Guernsey by light aircraft and by ferry, with the course situated a short distance from the island's main town of St Anne.
