Golf Course Overview
Aldenham Golf & Country Club, established in 1893, offers two layouts set across mature Hertfordshire parkland. The 18-hole Church Course is a par 70 measuring around 6,409 yards, opened in 1975 and characterised by tree-lined fairways, well-groomed greens and strategic bunkering. The shorter 9-hole Village Course (formerly Berry Grove) plays to a par 66 over approximately 4,698 yards. A notable feature of the main course is its unusually long par-5 13th, which stretches to around 621 yards.
Facilities include a refurbished clubhouse with lounge bar, players' lounge and function rooms overlooking the terrace, along with practice areas and a golf shop. Visitors and societies are welcome on both courses, with weekday and weekend roll-ups open to prospective members. The club sits just outside Watford, less than a mile from the M1 junction 5/A41 interchange and about five miles from the M25 (junctions 19 and 22), making it highly accessible for events and golf days.
