 Golf Course Overview

Acre Gate Golf Club in Flixton, Greater Manchester (historically Lancashire), was a short 18-hole municipal parkland course of around 4,395 yards, founded in 1974 and owned by Trafford Borough Council. Operated as a pay-and-play facility aimed at beginners and casual golfers, it was surrounded by better-known venues and struggled to attract business. The course closed following a decline in local authority leisure budgets, with the land reverting to public open space.

Closed in recent years.
