Golf Course Overview
Aberlady Golf Club was founded in 1912 as an artisans' club linked to neighbouring Kilspindie Golf Club, with membership originally restricted to residents of Aberlady village. Members play their golf over the Kilspindie links, a traditional Scottish seaside layout designed by Willie Park Jr and Ben Sayers, originally laid out in 1898. The course measures around 5,500 yards to a par of 69, with several holes running close to the shoreline along the Firth of Forth, set within Aberlady Bay nature reserve.
The club has its own clubhouse in the village and runs an active fixture list of competitions and matches throughout the season. Membership remains rooted in Aberlady, and the club retains its distinctive artisans tradition. Aberlady is roughly 17 miles east of Edinburgh on the A198 coastal road, with the village known for its golf, conservation area and nearby attractions including Gosford House and Aberlady Bay nature reserve.
