Golf Course Overview
Aberdour Golf Club was established in 1896 on the Fife coast, with the current layout having been updated over the years and notably revised by architect Howard Swan in 2018. The parkland course measures around 5,460 yards with a par of 67, laid out on clifftops and raised beaches overlooking the Firth of Forth. It opens unusually with two testing par-3s, the first playing from an elevated tee down towards a rocky promontory, while several holes meander along the shoreline with panoramic views across to Edinburgh, Inchcolm Island and the Isle of May.
Facilities include a modernised clubhouse with two lounges, the Riverview Lounge serving food and drink with sweeping views over the Firth of Forth, a well-stocked professional shop, practice area and putting green. Visitors are welcomed throughout most of the week, though Saturday is generally reserved for members. The club has hosted events such as the Scottish Under-14s Championship, the LGU Ladies Coronation Foursomes Area Final and the Roselle Pro-Am, and is located around 30 miles south of St Andrews with easy access from the M90 and rail links at Aberdour station.
