Golf Course Overview
Abbey Moor Golf Club, opened in 1991 and designed by D. Walker, is a parkland nine-hole course set on Green Lane in Addlestone, Surrey, just off junction 11 of the M25. Now operating as Playgolf Abbey Moor, the layout plays as nine holes (with a second loop using different tee positions giving up to eighteen holes), measuring around 2,552 yards to a par of 34 over nine, or up to 4,906 yards to a par of 68 over the eighteen-tee round. Tree-lined fairways are interspersed with several lily-pond water hazards that come into play on a number of holes, and a long par 5 closes out a layout that suits beginners and improvers but offers enough variety to interest more experienced players.
Facilities include a putting green, group and individual coaching from PGA professionals, a clubhouse with a relaxed bar and basic catering, and trolley hire. The course's excellent drainage and dry-weather watering system mean it remains in playable condition throughout the year. Visitors and members are equally welcome on a pay-and-play basis with online booking and the club is well placed for golfers from Weybridge, Chertsey and the wider Surrey area.
