North of England Golf Tour

Ever wanted to visit The Masters at Augusta? Well if you are an amateur golfer with an active handicap you can win that trip of lifetime by entering the 2012 North of England Golf Tour – the closest any amateur player will get to that revered experience of 'playing the tour.

There are 15 qualifying events, a stunning Order of Merit Grand Final, up-to-date stats, video highlights from every event and that five-day trip to Augusta for the overall winner, which includes badges for play on Thursday and Friday.

The tour kicks off in July and runs through the Summer until early October with the top ten in the Order of Merit qualifying for an all expenses three-day Grand Final at the beautiful Aphrodite Hills resort in Cyprus next year and the winner will fly off to Augusta next year as part of a prize worth more than £5,000.

Qualifying starts at De Vere Oulton Hall in Leeds on July 3 and there are 14 other high-class qualifying locations across the north of England. Stellar venues like Fulford, Pannal, Slaley Hall and Pleasington are on the calendar.

With your best three scores counting towards your Order of Merit total you can carefully pick where you want to play but there is no limit to how many qualifying events you can enter.

And after the final event at Pleasington in Lancashire on October 1st the top ten in the Order of Merit will be eligible to play in the Grand Final in Cyprus next year with the overall winner claiming the amazing week's break to the 2013 Masters at Augusta.

The tour is approved by the R&A for the payment of expenses – Rule 4-2g RA/28/2012.

Registering is free and entrants will be able to view all the results and the order of merit as the season progresses. There will also be video highlights from all the events.
