Wirral Golf Classic
The Wirral Golf Classic presents a fantastic opportunity to play Hoylake, the 2014 Open Championship course and three other fine links at a very attractive price for just £TBC (early bird fee of £TBC up to 1st May) on 18-223 September 2017.
Royal Liverpool much loved by golfers throughout the world, has staged the 1st Amateur Championship, the 1st Walker Cup, 1st International Golf Match and 12 Open Championships. Entrants will experience for themselves the changes made for the 12th playing of The Open last year at ‘Hoylake’, as it is more widely known.
Wallasey, is the home of the Stableford, created by one of their past Captains and offers fine links golf. It is an Open Qualifying venue enjoying beautiful views across the Mersey to Liverpool.
The R&A’s chose Heswall a few miles further along the coast from Hoylake, as their venue for the Junior Open Championship in 2006.
Caldy, has fine views from its cliffs across the River Dee to Wales is a former venue of the Seniors’ Championship and was the Qualifying venue for the Ricoh. All great courses all with wonderful views and challenging holes.
The entrance fee for the Classic is £TBC (early bird fee of £TBC up to 1st May) and also includes 2 social events, the Welcome Reception at one of the Partner Hotels as well as the Prize-giving. With green fees alone almost double this fee, the event offers excellent value. Entries close on TBC.

All competitors will play each of the four courses during the five day period 18 - 22 September, with one rest day.
The main competition is an aggregate Stableford with prizes for the top 20 players over four rounds but there will also be daily competitions. Players must be 18 years and older, with a maximum handicap of 24 for men and 36 for ladies, while the maximum number of strokes given is 18 for men and 27 for ladies, per round. There are prizes for men and women.
There is also a Team competition, for the aggregate of four players score. So for those coming as a four there are more prizes to play for, but if you are only 1 or 2 players, you can join up with others when you arrive.
All golfers must be members of a recognised golf club, or affiliated to their country’s governing body, and must present a current and active handicap certificate from their club on arrival (in accordance with CONGU Handicapping System on arrival).
